Refugees Worldwide

In Summer 2016, the project “Refugees Worldwide” was founded. 14 authors travelled to crisis points in particular countries to understand more deeply the situation facing refugees and displaced peoples there; following this period of research, the authors wrote up their research into literary travelogues. The project had its first public appearance in Autumn 2016 in the form of an event and discussion during the International Literature Festival Berlin (ilb).

Published by Ragpicker Press in September 2017.

Berlin Anthology

Texts and poems from all over the world, chosen by guests of the international literature festival berlin, are contained within this anthology. It is an extraordinary and personal collection of texts, many of which have been translated for the first time into German.

The international literature festival berlin offers visitors readings, discussions and encounters with authors of world-literature. It has established itself world-wide as one of the most important meeting points between famous writers and new, as yet undiscovered authors. The Berlin Anthology, which has accompanied the festival since 2001, reflects its diverse character and is the lasting essence which lives on following the 12 days of festivities and the authors’ return to their homelands.

Scritture Giovani

Scritture Giovani is a project conceptualized by Festivaletteratura in 2002 to promote young European writers.

It started with the support of the European Union’s Cultural Programme and has continued with increasing success. Scritture Giovani involves several of Europe’s major literary festivals – Festivaletteratura, Hay Festival (United Kingdom) and international literature festival berlin (Germany).

The authors in the past years were chosen under the criteria of age (under 32), the first publication of a short story written specifically for the project, the first translation of their work (into the languages of the three festivals: Italian, English and German) and the participation of the authors at events at the three festivals.

The short stories, information about the Scritture Giovani authors and other news will be published on the website: www.scritturegiovani.it.

40 short stories from the last 13 years by authors from around the world.

The Scritture Giovani publications from the past years are listed up here.
